SCOTLAND’S CHARITY FOR GAY MEN
WELCOME TO GAY MEN’S HEALTH
Gay and bisexual men are still very often the targets of hate crime. However, many are still unwilling to report these incidents either through fear of reprisals from their attackers or because of unwillingness to make a face-to-face report to the police, as this would involve disclosing their sexuality. The unhappy truth is that it is almost impossible for the police and others to deal with these crimes when no-one reports them, which means they tend to continue.
Gay Men’s Health runs a remote reporting project which allows gay and bisexual men to report crime without going directly to the police. Our trained staff and volunteers liaise with the police on your behalf and can even conceal your identity from the police if this is what you wish. Throughout the process of reporting crimes to the police through Gay Men's Health you will not be forced to do anything you do not want to.
Any type of crime can be reported, including homophobic abuse, domestic abuse and blackmail.
Please contact us if you would like to make use of this service.
