Coming to terms with a positive result may take time, but if you are diagnosed HIV positive you are not alone. There is a lot of support to help you cope with a positive diagnosis. Living with a positive resultIn spite of new treatments being available, some people find it difficult to adhere to the strict routine of taking drugs every day, some of which can have very unpleasant side effects. People with HIV may also suffer discrimination and prejudice, which can lead to problems with insurance, employment and travel. Self-help groups and other agencies can help if you have problems related to your diagnosis. |
