NEW DEVELOPMENTSResearch on the health needs and experiences of transsexuals in Scotland, which has been commissioned by the LGBT INCLUSION Project and will be carried out by researchers at Glasgow University. A new National Transgender Stakeholders Group, which had, at the first meeting last month, representatives from: The Sandyford Trans Support Group, Transmen Scotland, Crosslynx, Transalba, NHS LGBT Health INCLUSION Project and Beyond Barriers, The LGBT Centre for Health & Wellbeing, LGBT Youth, Sandyford Initiative, Metropolitan Community Church and a Tayside community member. The development of a training pack, including a video looking at experiences of discrimination, on transgender issues. And lastly, an Open Day event is being held, for anyone who identifies as TG or who is exploring their gender, on Saturday 12th June in Edinburgh. The day is being hosted by The LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing, in partnership with LGBT Youth Scotland.
